Frequently asked questions

Why does the browser test work when Zoom does not?

The browser and Zoom ask the operating system separately. A moving line here means the hardware is available. Zoom still needs its own permission and its own selected device.

Does this wizard upload my voice?

No. The steps are instructions. The Microphone Test, if you open it, measures the input in the tab.

What if the mic is still missing?

Choose Mic not listed, then follow the plug-in and restart step for the system you selected. If the operating system itself does not see the device, the browser cannot see it either.
